Joaquin Guzman Lopez, the son of the notorious drug lord, and Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, who co-founded the Sinaloa Cartel with El Chapo, were arrested in Texas, the US Justice Department said.
The son of the notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman has been arrested. Joaquin Guzman Lopez was arrested alongside his father's former partner, Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, who co-founded the Sinaloa Cartel with El Chapo. Zambada, who is deemed one of the most consequential traffickers in Mexico's history, and Guzman Lopez were arrested in El Paso, Texas, on Thursday, the US Justice Department said.
