Michael Beale spells out Rangers reality of summer revamp but insists he 'won't make excuses' after Euro frustration
Michael Beale admits Rangers were left frustrated after failing to build up a bigger lead to take to Switzerland for their Champions League third qualifying round second leg after a 2-1 win against 10-man Servette - but insists his new boys are still getting up to speed.
Beale said afterwards: “There’s a lot of frustration in that dressing room. We’re not the sum of our parts yet. The forwards will get better with time. We're never going to use it as an excuse but the reality is 13 or 14 players left and nine came in. The reality is Danilo has trained with his team-mates four times. He had a pre-season that was all over the place because of his move. Jose has trained with us twice.
