The appointment follows the takeover of the magazine by GB News co-owner Sir Paul Marshall
Michael Gove, former Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, has been announced as the new editor of The Spectator The SpectatorThe former Cabinet minister will begin his new job leading the title known as the “Tory Bible” on 8 October, around three months after he stood down as an MP., has also been appointed as chairman of the magazine.
Gove will be replacing Fraser Nelson, the magazine’s current editor, who described the former Levelling Up secretary as “a clear successor”., Mr Fraser said: “There’s never a good time to leave a job like mine but, after 15 years and a new owner with big ambitions, there is an obvious time.“He’s a first-class journalist who took a detour into politics and not the other way around.
