Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley accepted the Hall of Fame Award on behalf of her late husband, TV doctor and broadcaster Michael Mosley, at the British Podcast Awards. She expressed her wish that he was there to receive it himself, highlighting his warmth, kindness, and genuine connection with listeners through his podcast 'Just One Thing'.
Michael Mosley 's wife has accepted a prize at the British Podcast Awards on his behalf saying she wishes “more than anything” he was at the event, and reminding the audience that life is short..The TV doctor, broadcaster and columnist disappeared while holidaying with Dr Clare Bailey Mosley on the Greek island of Symi over the summer, and tragically, his body was discovered days later.
She went on to say that Mosley knew his podcast "really connected with people", and "he loved the simplicity of the format and being able to genuinely help people. Dr Clare concluded by thanking everyone for their "messages, the letters and outpouring of love", which has "really helped us as a family and we have been so comforted by them".
Mosley, who was celebrated for introducing the 5:2 diet concept through his book The Fast Diet and his informative BBC documentaries, including Trust Me, I'm A Doctor, left a lasting impact on health and science broadcasting.
