Horrifying touring car crash leaves Michael Schumacher's nephew with fractured vertebra
The 20-year-old Mercedes driver was tagged by Thomas Preining’s Porsche on lap six of the race, sending both flying into the barrier withBoth cars were forced back on track in front of incoming traffic, causing damage to a number of other competitors.
Worst of which, though, was Denis Olsen who was caught up in an incident behind and lost control of his Porsche leading to a frightening collision with a barrier on the inside of the corner. Olsen’s engine was ripped out of his car and began a fire on track, but incredibly both he and Preining were left uninjured.
