Michael Schumacher's wife, Corinna, is living 'like a prisoner' as she cares for the Formula One legend, according to family friend Eddie Jordan. The former racing driver has been out of the public eye since he suffered life-changing injuries in a skiing accident over a decade ago. Reports suggest that Corinna and a team of medical professionals provide round-the-clock care for Michael.
"It's been nearly 10 years now and Corinna has not been able to go to a party, to lunch or this or that, she's like a prisoner because everyone would want to talk to her about Michael when she doesn't need reminding of it every minute.", reports the Express. "I know her very well and a long time before Michael Schumacher," Jordan shared. "She's a lovely girl and I knew her when she married Michael so there is a long history of good relations."
Corinna is keen on maintaining Michael's privacy, as she revealed in the documentary Being Michael Schumacher: "We are getting on with our lives: 'private is private' as he always said. It's very important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible. Michael always protected us, now we are protecting Michael."
