Former neurologist Michael Watt was at the centre of of NI's biggest ever patient recall.
The fitness to practise of a former neurologist at the centre of Northern Ireland's biggest ever patient recall is "impaired", a tribunal has found.
An assessment by the General Medical Council found patients were put at unnecessary risk because of incorrect diagnoses and unnecessary treatments. He acknowledged that while the neurologist has no criminal convictions and he had a long career with an "unblemished record" his performance in the latter years was "not sufficiently good".
"There is no evidence of insight and the assessors found no insight when they were talking to Dr Watt about his practice."
