And her path to country music stardom has had some bumps as she tried to stay true to her sound and find her footing.of her song “All American” resonated with delegates at the Democratic National Convention and thrilled her family and friends back home.
Mickey Guyton, 41, has never lost touch with North Texas. Her father still lives in Mansfield, where she attended Mansfield High School in the ninth and 10th grades, her father said. “She was at church on Sunday with her mom and dad and her son,” said Sandra Daniels, a spokesperson for the church. “She and her siblings, her parents are still very active members, and we’re just thrilled for how God has blessed her career.”“She’s still the sweet, humble girl she always was,” Daniels said. “She’s beautiful, she’s talented, and it’s just exciting to see her on the various stages that God has placed her.
