Microsoft strikes a deal with Amazon to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to Fire TV Sticks.
Xbox is pretty hell-bent on keeping Cloud Gaming alive, and Microsoft has just struck up a partnership to put its games on Fire TV sticks. Over 25 countries will be able to play games ‘directly from the Xbox app on select Fire TV devices via cloud gaming,’ which opens up gaming audiences to a whole new realm. It may be a shock to some, but not everyone owns a console or gaming PC, and streaming games directly to an affordable and readily available device is not a terrible idea at all.
Only the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick 4K will be able to make use of this feature, which means it’s probably one of the cheapest ways to get into AAA-gaming nowadays. You will need a few other things; a Bluetooth controller and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription , which is looking a lot more lucrative following this month’s Xbox Showcase. A few notable games which can be accessed via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate’s streaming capabilities are Hellblade 2, Starfield and Fallout 4.
