Microsoft accidentally suspended many Microsoft Rewards accounts, causing user frustration. The company has acknowledged the error and is working on a fix.

The official Microsoft Rewards Support X account has confirmed that it incorrectly suspended some Microsoft Rewards accounts earlier today. A fix is now rolling out, and affected accounts should be back online in the next several hours. If you've logged into Rewards today to find your Microsoft Rewards account suspended despite not violating any of Microsoft's terms and conditions for the service, you're not alone.

Loads of users from across the globe are reporting that Microsoft has banned their Rewards accounts for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Many hope this is just a mistake on Microsoft's end rather than a mass ban wave. Over the past several hours, users have flooded the Microsoft Rewards subreddit and other social media sites with posts saying they have had their Rewards accounts falsely suspended by Microsoft. It's unclear as to why this is happening, but users are not happy. After investigating the issue, I've found that my account has also been suspended. While others here at TrueAchievements towers seem to be unaffected, I am now met with the following from Microsoft when navigating to the Microsoft Rewards dashboard: 'Your Microsoft Rewards account has been suspended. 'Our research indicates that you or your Microsoft Rewards account has engaged in one or more violations of the Microsoft Services Agreement'
