Microsoft is testing a new option that allows you to silence the Xbox startup sound.
If you've ever turned on your Xbox console and forgotten to turn down the volume on your TV, the Xbox startup sound can come as quite the surprise when it booms out of your speakers. Thankfully, Microsoft is testing a new option that allows you to silence this startup sound.
Currently, this much-requested feature is only available to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha ring, though it will likely roll out to all users soon."We have added a new option which allows you to mute startup sounds," MicrosoftWhile it is only a small change that most likely won't be used by many users, it's definitely nice to have the option.
