Convicted double killer known as the 'Midlands Ripper' given third life sentence for historic sex offences against young boy
In an impact statement read out by prosecutor Ben Lawrence, Kyte's victim said he still suffers from depression and anxiety, with anti-depressants impacting his ability to have children of his own."I grew up feeling scared and vulnerable," he said."I could not form friendships. I did not trust anyone. He added: "I never had the chance to be the person I wanted to be or could have been.
During sentencing, Mr Lawrence said that in an interview with police in 2012, Kyte "described himself as a sexual predator and everything he did was in the pursuit of sex". "The trauma still lives with him. The violence you inflicted was extreme. This was a campaign of attacks on a young, defenceless boy."
