MORE than 50 migrants, including at least five children, were picked up after trying to cross the Channel in small dinghies yesterday. Two were taken to hospital as medical emergencies.
And another 34, including five youngsters, were plucked to safety from two dinghies by the authorities and taken ashore.A Home Office spokesman said: “Border Force is dealing with a number of ongoing small boat incidents.“Further details will be provided when the operational response has concluded and the situations have been resolved.
