Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has welcomed Arne Slot to the Premier League ahead of his first season with Liverpool.

The Reds were five points behind second-placed Arsenal and will be looking for an improved outcome in Slot's first season with the club. Arteta is currently in Marbella in the early stages of Arsenal's pre-season preparations. The Gunners manager has spoken about Slot's appointment as Liverpool head coach, and welcomed the Dutchman to the Premier League."That's a question for him and the people that have decided to come here. Arteta said: "Obviously it is a bit sad to see Jurgen leave because what he has brought to the league, I think, is something unprecedented with his charisma, his way of playing and the moments he has created in this league."
