Christmas is just around the corner and the Met Office predicts mild, generally cloudy and dry weather for Lancashire.
Tinsel is hanging, presents are wrapped and the turkey has been purchased - the big day is nearly upon us. Christmas is just around the corner and whilst many of us will stay at home, some will have to make big journeys to see family and friends for the festive break. Whilst the weather has been particularly cold over the last few days, Christmas Day could see a bit of a change.
According to the Met Office, the north west will see cold with some sunshine this morning (Monday, December 23), but the day will stay generally dry. Tonight, there may be outbreaks of rain and drizzle and the weather will turn mild by dawn. Moving on to Christmas Eve and there will be drizzly outbreaks at first, but this will turn driver through the afternoon. For Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the verdict is that the temperatures will stay relatively mild. The Met Office states: 'Staying mild over the Christmas period. Generally cloudy and dry, although some brighter breaks are possible at times.'
