Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split after less than a year of marriage.
Following speculation sparked only hours before the official announcement – by an Instagram post in whichwas pictured sans-wedding-ring – her rep has confirmed that the singer and husband Liam Hemsworth have split. Speaking to People, Cyrus’s representative explained ‘Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.
To say Twitter’s unhappy about the split would be an understatement. @Jennydofficial tweeted ‘Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth getting divorced is literally breaking my heart LOVE DOESNT EXIST’, while @naomirosi_ said ‘Right when I was starting to believe in love again you’re telling me Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are divorcing the mf audacity I FEEL ROBBED OF MY FEELINGS.
