The Milton Hershey School used Monday’s solar eclipse as a learning opportunity for students. Elementary school science teacher at MHS, Megan Heister said being able to teach something in the classroom and have students walk outside to see it take place is invaluable.
“For kindergarten, we’re just talking about, you know, the sun and the moon and how it makes the shadow. Because even in first grade, we go in and we talk about light and shadows, so this is like a natural connection,” Heister said.
