A RANDY minicab driver spent all his money on a drugs and sex binge - then faked his own KIDNAPPING to justify not showing up for work.
The desperate man, who has been arrested, told cops that a customer held him hostage after a shift last month in Fuengirola, Malaga.
But when the police launched an investigation - codenamed Operation Camerita - his story quickly fell apart.Investigators were told that the supposed “kidnapper” was actually his mate - and they’d gone boozing together.After the man spent all of his earnings on the bender – some of which were meant to go to the ride-share company – he stumbled out of the club, sold his motorbike, then used the extra funds to buy more sex and drugs.
The next day, the desperate driver claimed to authorities that his missing money and skipped shift were down to an outlandish kidnapping plot.Pretending to be the victim of a crime can result in a year-long jail sentence, reports local media.
