Miranda Hart has shared the sweet details of her romantic proposal after revealing that she secretly got married. The 51 year old actress and comedian confirmed that she had tied the knot to her mystery man while appearing on The One Show on Tuesday evening, 8 October. Showing off her wedding ring to hosts Alex Jones and Alex Scott, she called her husband her "best friend" and gushed that "someone put a ring on it" after years of being “housebound with chronic illness”.
She wrote: "We stood still on the bridge overlooking the lake when the silence was pierced as he rather seriously said, 'Miranda.' I turned around and as I did he got down on one knee. 'Miranda...' I don't remember anything else because I simply burst out out crying, apparently saying yes before he had finished the sentence "
