Miss Grand International has released a clarification regarding the licensing of Miss Grand India , which recently parted ways with the pageant.In a statement on Thursday, MGI said they did not renew the contract of the previous Miss Grand India license holder, citing several reasons for the decision."The previous license holder consistently delayed license payments, with final payments made only a month before the final event.
The international pageant also said the previous license holder did not sufficiently support and promote their representative as well as the MGI Brand.Miss Grand India announced their departure from MGI through a statement posted in the official Instagram accounts of Miss Grand India and Glamanand Supermodel India.They said that their "visions and goals" do not align at the moment.Incidentally, the reigning Miss Grand International 2024 is Rachel Gupta of India.
