Current Miss Scotland Lucy Sophia Thomson has allegedly been caught on camera being drunkenly ejected from a rugby event in Edinburgh at the weekend.
Ms Thomson is an entrepreneur who runs the Scottish Fashion Association, an events firm that aims to "address the challenges that the fashion communities face such as racism, sexism and gender inequality". The video was captured by a spectator at the event, which is described by organisers as "bringing an invitational rugby 7s competition with a party atmosphere to Scotland's capital".
"It was a case of her being too drunk and being escorted away and she had tried to fight back. She has taken everything including her Miss Scotland title out of her social media bio. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9pm on Saturday, 17 June, 2023, we received a report of a disturbance and a hate crime at Peffermill Road in Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing."
