Police are searching for two missing twin sisters in Aberdeen after they were last seen crossing a bridge in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, 32, were captured on CCTV crossing Victoria Bridge and heading towards the Aberdeen Boat Club.

A family member of two missing twin sisters in Aberdeen said the pair seemed 'fine' in the days leading up to their disappearance. Eliza and Henrietta Huszti were last seen in the city centre at around 2.12am on Tuesday January 7. CCTV in Market Street showed the 32-year-old sisters crossing Victoria Bridge and turning right onto a footpath next to the River Dee heading in the direction of the Aberdeen Boat Club. Searches of the river were held on Friday morning.

Also on Friday a relative told BBC News the pair's mum spoke to them on Saturday, having 'a 40-minute conversation and nothing appeared out of the ordinary'. Concerns have been growing in the days since. Images on Friday showed boats scouring the River Dee with a diving team near the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. A helicopter was also reportedly circling the same area of the city where the sisters moved to seven years ago. Eliza and Henrietta, who are part of a set of triplets, are both described as white and of slim build with long, brown hair. Chief Inspector Darren Bruce confirmed on Thursday night specialist units were searching where the women had last been seen. He said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace Eliza and Henrietta and searches are being carried out in and around the area where they were last seen. Local officers, led by specialist search advisors are being assisted by resources including the police dogs and our marine unit. “The Torry side of Victoria Bridge where they were last seen has many commercial and industrial units. Searches are ongoing here and we would urge businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road area to please review their CCTV footage for early morning on Tuesday, 7 January, 2025 and contact us if it holds anything that may be relevant to our investigation. 'We also ask anyone with dashcam footage from that time to contact us. We are continuing to speak to people who know Eliza and Henrietta and we urge anyone who has seen them or who has any information regarding their whereabouts to please contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday, 7 January, 2025.
