Detectives confirm that a missing Victorian mum was wearing an Apple Watch or similar device when she vanished on a run. Samantha Murphy has not been seen since leaving her home on Sunday morning.
Detectives from the missing persons squad have confirmed a missing Victorian mum was wearing an Apple Watch or similar device when she vanished on a run, as they officially take over the investigation. Samantha Murphy was last seen leaving her Eureka St home at Ballarat East about 7am on Sunday to go for planned 20km run near the Canadian State Forest and has not been seen since. After days of searching with few clues, on Friday Victoria Police confirmed detectives from the missing persons squad would take on the investigation and work with local officers. During a press conference on Friday, police inspector Bob Heaney said Murphy had both her mobile phone and GPS watch on her when she was last seen. A CCTV image of Murphy leaving her home shows the watch on her left wrist.
