One of Major League Baseball's best events, the Home Run Derby, is set to kick off the league's All-Star festivities on Monday night.While neither of the league's top two home run hitters and biggest stars — New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge and Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani — are in the event, there's still plenty of star power .
In the first round, rather than having head-to-head matchups, all eight players will be competing against each other. The top four players with the most home runs will advance to the semifinals. Then, it will be head-to-head matchups with seeds in order of most home runs to least home runs hit in the first round. Here are Newsweek Sports' predictions for how the event will go.
