The All of Us Journey mobile medical research tour stopped by the Rochester area Wednesday, May 8, 2024, ahead of a handful of scheduled events across the area. Journey mobile tour from the National Institutes of Health stopped at the Ibero-American Action League Wednesday,
The tour is gathering data from residents in communities that are historically underrepresented in medical research. "There's various forms of participation," explained Mae Sandberg, senior manager for community engagement with All of Us. "You can just fill out the survey with some basic information. You can choose to link your electronic health records if you'd like to do so. And then today, with the bus being out here with our two nurses, you can share biological information to receive free ancestry, as well as genetic information.
