Watch out for these locations in April
Motorists traveling through Lancashire in April will need to be aware of dozens of mobile speed cameras lining many of the counties busiest routes.
Lancashire Road Safety Partnership has published a list of places it is planning to monitor for the next month, meaning motorists have no excuse for being caught out. that drivers will now need to be aware of. They include major routes in Preston, Blackpool, Blackburn, Hyndburn, West Lancashire as well as the M6, M55 and M61.A spokesperson said: "One aim of the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership is to improve driver behaviour by helping motorists drive at an appropriate and safe speed within designated limits so we operate our safety camera enforcement vehicles across Lancashire sevens days a week.
"All our mobile sites are risk assessed for safety and we vary how often we attend different locations with sites based on casualty data, known speeding concerns, where a report has been made directly by a member of the public concerned about speeding issues in their area along with any location that has a fixed roadside camera."
Drivers caught by the cameras face the risk of a fixed penalty notice or prosecution. The list is subject to change throughout the month.
