Ta’Shanna Junius, 33, of Akron , was killed in a crash by a man driving under the influence of drugs just moments after she dropped off her daughter at school, prosecutors say. AKRON , Ohio — A Summit County judge on Wednesday sentenced a Mogadore man to a minimum of 10 years in prison for causing a crash that killed a woman while he was under the influence of multiple drugs.
The sentencing comes after Shanaberger pleaded no contest in June to aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault and operating a vehicle under the influence. Shanaberger was under the influence of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, morphine, marijuana, and hydrocodone at the time of the crash, prosecutors say.
