Mohamed Salah's Liverpool future is yet to be resolved as the Egyptian forward nears the final year of his current deal at Anfield, which he penned back in 2022
Louis Saha is surprised that Mohamed Salah is still playing for Liverpool and hasn't sought a challenge elsewhere. The 32-year-old signed a three-year contract worth £350,000 a week in 2022, making him the highest-paid player in Liverpool's history. The Egypt international is yet to pen a new deal with Arne Slot 's Reds and will be able to sign a pre-contract with a new club come January, as interest grows from Saudi clubs.
He's very motivated with a lot of emotion and that's what we want to see in the Premier League.' Despite Saha's surprise, the Frenchman says he hopes Salah continues his career at Liverpool beyond this season, adding that fans should appreciate him while they can. He said: 'I want him to stay there and keep that competition with the clubs at the top. Salah will be up there with Erling Haaland, but while he's here, we should enjoy it.
