An asteroid flew across the sky as it entered Earth's atmosphere above the Philippines on Wednesday. The object measured three feet and flashed across the sky at 39,000 miles per hour.

However, other users started posting pictures and videos of the asteroid within 20 minutes of it entering the atmosphere. In the lead-up to the celestial view, scientists assured that the asteroid's small size meant it wouldn't do any damage when it hit the ground.
