A Nando's waitress was viciously attacked by a male customer who smacked her across the face with a plate while she tried to serve him.
As the Nando's server places a plate of food on his table, CCTV captures the moment the male thug lashes out and slaps her across the face with a dinner plate. The male suspect, pictured, was filmed hitting the woman across the face before then leaving the restaurant in Stratford, London. Police are now looking for him
One woman, who claimed to have been the assaulted waitress, shared the clip on X - with the video notching up more than 20million views since last night.The incident was reported to the Metropolitan Police - but the woman who shared the video was critical of the force's response. A spokesman told MailOnline: 'A report of assault was made to police at the time of the incident, however, it appears this was not progressed promptly by officers. We are working to establish why this happened and accept this is not the level of service Londoners should rightfully expect from the Met.
Viewers on social media said they were appalled by the attack, branding the man's actions as 'disgusting', 'criminal' and 'savage'.Another user added: 'Assaulting someone over food? That’s a one-way ticket to jail. Seems like even working at a restaurant doesn’t guarantee safety anymore. Pathetic.
