The claims gained momentum when the article was repeated by gossip sites, which sparked speculation on social media.A spokesperson said: “I would like to formally deny the malicious rumours peddled by the French magazine Royauté. Please disregard this article which is totally unfounded.”
The Prince, 64, spoke fondly of the British King, 74, ahead of the historic ceremony on 6 May, describing him as 'a very educated man and someone with a great sense of humour'.
