Pure evil.
A Leeds man who raped and sexually abused a vulnerable teenage girl repeatedly has been jailed for 17 years.
He pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape and four counts of assault by penetration. Following a trial at Leeds Crown Court, he was convicted of all offences. Scholes had denied the allegations when arrested by West Yorkshire Police. Detectives from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit were able to find forensic evidence linking him to the offences, as well as digital forensic officers finding evidence on his phone he had filmed the victim during the abuse.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lambert, who heads Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: “Scholes was responsible for a horrendous catalogue of abuse against this vulnerable young girl who he had plied with alcohol and lured back to the address on false pretences. His actions were an appalling breach of trust and understandably left the victim very badly traumatised.
