Two-way traffic lights are set to be in place for over a month as work to improve the safety of a popular hiking and cycling trail continues in Telford.

Stafford Road in Oakengates will be the third road in the town to recieve a new pedestrian crossing in recent months. It's all part of plans to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists walking the Silkin Way trail which were included inStafford Road will soon get a crossing as part of active travel improvements in Oakengates

Three-way traffic lights are in place on Station Hill at its junction with Willows Road, while Silkin Way is currently closed to traffic. The road works are set to finish on Friday, January 24.Two-way temporary traffic lights will then be put in place between February 10 and March 14 on Stafford Road, when work will get started on the final pedestrian crossing of the scheme.
