Fans flooded Gardeners’ World star Monty Don with messages after he shared a post on Instagram about his beloved dog Ned. Monty, 69, revealed that it was the golden retriever’s second birthday on Saturday, July 20.
Ned has become a familiar face to viewers as Monty regularly brings his dogs along when he’s filming. Fans were quick to wish Ned a happy birthday and said how happy they are to see him on screen, BirminghamLive reports. One fan wrote: "Happy birthday, Ned! Your appearances always bring us such joy." "Ned always makes me smile when i see him on screens Happy birthday, Ned!" a second commented. "It seems like yesterday that he first appeared alongside Nellie. Happy birthday Ned," a third wrote.
Ned is the youngest of Monty's two dogs, with Yorkshire Terrier Patti being the older of the pair, and Monty is incredibly close to his brood. He's had a pack of furry friends over the years and his website declares his love of dogs.
