Padres prospect Leodalis De Vries triples, drives in four runs in third game with Lake Elsinore Storm
Leodalis De Vries continues to pile up firsts. The 17-year-old shortstop drove in the first four runs of his career while collecting two hits in low Single-A Lake Elsinore’s 12-10 loss at Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday. De Vries logged his first triple while driving in two runs in the third inning. He added a two-run single during a five-run eighth to improve to 4-for-13 through the first three games of his career. De Vries signed for $4.
Wichita 9, Missions 2: RHP Adam Mazur struck out eight but allowed seven runs — six earned — on nine hits and no walks in 4 ⅓ innings in the loss. RHP Woo-Suk Go threw a scoreless ninth inning and LHP Jason Blanchard threw two scoreless innings. CF Jakob Marsee went 0-for-3 with a walk and his first error of the season.

Note: Triple-A El Paso was rained in Tacoma and will play a doubleheader on Friday.
