Taylor Swift fans from Glasgow will benefit from more late-night trains to get them safely home from the Eras Tour next month.
Thousands of Swifties are expected to descend on Murrayfield in Edinburgh for the pop star's three-night run of the record-breaking tour from June 7 to June 9. To prepare for the demand for public transport with fans getting to and from the stadium, ScotRail is adding extra seats to trains as well as additional late services from Edinburgh to Glasgow, Dundee, Dunblane, and Perth.Haymarket station, which is nearest to Murrayfield, is also expected to be much busier than normal during these three days and customers travelling by rail are encouraged to buy return tickets through the mTicket system on the ScotRail app to save queuing and waiting.
Customers are also being reminded of engineering works taking place on Sunday, June 9, between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts, where buses replace trains between West Calder and Glasgow Central, and journey times may take longer. Phil Campbell, ScotRail's customer operations director, said: “It will be fantastic to see so many people travel to Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium to see Taylor Swift, and ScotRail is delighted to be able to add more seats and extra late-night trains to help fans enjoy the occasion.“Buying return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app or website will minimise your need to queue, and help your day run smoothly.
