Bar and restaurant owners had complained about crowds of teens and young adults fighting after dark.
An increase of police presence, including state troopers mounted on horses, helped curb some of the issues contributing to an unruly nightlife in downtown Harrisburg , city police said Monday.
City police brought out additional police cars and lighting, as well as several more patrol officers than usual, which contributed to less activity, Young said.
