More than $42,000 raised for Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center program

The money raised will go towards the CAC’s Sexual Abuse Nurse Examiner (SANE) program.

The Leadership Dothan putt-putt event breaks a record for most money raised by one of the organization's fundraisers. DOTHAN , Ala. - Leadership Dothan , a program under the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, raised more than $42,000 for the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center at their Putt Putt for Kids event.

The money raised will go towards the CAC’s Sexual Abuse Nurse Examiner program. This provides a service to the Wiregrass that would assist in medical exams following a sexual attack, something Laurabeth Thomas, CAC’s community advocate, said was not readily available anywhere nearby.
