More Translink ticket machines have been damaged in "various locations" of West Belfast , we can report. It comes just a month after a 41-year-old man was handed a suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay Translink £500 for smashing 14 Glider ticket screens with a hammer and his fists in March last year, costing £4,000 to repair.
Police say they "have been able to obtain very clear CCTV images" of the latest incidents following a report of criminal damage.Sergeant Costley told Belfast Live: "Enquiries are ongoing in order to identify those involved, and we have been able to obtain very clear CCTV images to assist with our investigation.
"Anyone with information on those involved is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 589 08/07/24."
