VinFast vehicles get proper recognition from DOE as battery electric vehicles

We were able to have a look at the Department of Energy’s latest list of recognized EVs. Previously, only the VinFast VF5 crossover was on the list but now more models from the Vietnamese brand have been added.

The VF5 crossover still remains the smallest EV so far on the list under VinFast, measuring just under four meters long. The VF6 Plus looks to be VinFast’s answer to the likes of the BYD Dolphin, as it’s just over 4.2 meters long with a 204 PS electric motor paired to a 59.6 kWh battery.
