He says the pie was out of date - and 'fantastic' store staff missed it because of 'cutbacks'
A disgruntled Morrisons shopper was so frustrated after buying a rhubarb pie he sent it to the supermarket's chief executive. The customer says he bought the pie for £1.50 on September 5.
He says he was offered a £2 refund through an e-voucher, Birmingham Live reports. But instead of accepting the offer, the shopper decided he wanted to highlight the problem to the top of the company.READ MORE: 'The harrowing secret that made me sit on the railings of a motorway bridge' He insisted the 'very fantastic' shop workers weren't to blame, but felt they were being 'spread' thinly by bosses. In an email to Morrisons, the man said: "This is not about a refund as I could have obtained one myself.
Had there been a till open the 'eagle eyed' till assistant could well have noticed the date on the pie was the day before. You can only spread staff so far without there being consequences."
