Moscow drone attack causes damages buildings, mayor says
Russia has accused Ukraine of launching a series of early morning drone attacks on Moscow, the first time the city has been targeted by multiple drones since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
A presidential aide said that Kyiv was not directly involved in the Moscow attacks, but that Ukraine had enjoyed watching events unfold and predicted an increase in attacks. There has been no comment from Kyiv, but on Monday, the head of Ukraine's military intelligence, Gen Kyrylo Budanov,Images posted on social media showed traces of smoke in the sky above the Russian capital. Others showed a broken window.
Our correspondent also said the attacks would cause concern for local residents. He said that for many, the war in Ukraine had been something that was happening a "long way away, it was something that they saw on television"., in which at least one person was reported killed.
