With Halloween fast approaching and the half-term holiday that comes with it, plenty of families up and down the country will be looking for some spooky places to visit.
Topping the list was the 12th century Chillingham Castle in Northumberland, which is often described as ‘haunted’, ‘spooky’ and ‘creepy’ in reviews. While one visitor to Glamis Castle wrote: "Our tour guide was amazing! Not only did we get the fantastic history, but some humor as well! He was able to answer all our questions and make the tour interesting! Would highly recommend seeing this castle in Scotland- creepy room and all!"
