PHOENIX — The mother of a baby found dead in a garbage can at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport back in 2005 has been extradited to Arizona from Washington.Annie Anderson, 51, of Arlington, Washington, was returned to the Valley to face charges in the newborn baby's death, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office confirmed to 12News.
On Oct 10, 2005, the baby girl's body was found wrapped in a hotel bag in a woman’s restroom garbage can at the Phoenix airport. She became known as"Baby Skylar." For years investigators with the Phoenix police worked to identify and arrest the baby's mother. Finally, advancements in DNA technology helped police identify Anderson as the child's mother. She was arrested in Washington in February of this year.
