The mother of a suspect, who is wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old in the Cloverleaf area was arrested, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday.
Alva Cornejo, 51, was taken into custody, and she is the mother of Terry Bryan Rivera. She was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution.Carlos GonzalezPolice said Rivera went to the bedroom window of the apartment and fired into the room where Carlos was sleeping. The child then died from his injuries.Carlos’ visitation is being held on Sunday at the Vazquez Funeral Home, and it is open to the public.
The address of the funeral home is 750 Uvalde Road in Houston, and the visitation hours are 3-9 p.m. His burial will be on Monday.
