The pub has apologised for the mix-up
A Nottinghamshire mum says her Mother's Day plans were ruined after a pub refused to serve her hot water to help feed her baby. Chloe Patman, 29, said she had no choice but to leave the Badger Box in Kirkby-in-Ashfield along with her husband and two children on Sunday, March 20.
"I'd been there before and they said it was no problem," she said. "I questioned why they can give it out for tea and coffee and they said it came from head office. I thought, how can I feed my baby? I asked if I can have cups of hot water and they said 'no because we know you're going to feed your child'."They made it sound like I was going to give him something bad." Mrs Patman went on to say it had ruined her family's plans for the afternoon.
"Obviously I've got flasks if I know I'm going somewhere it can't be provided, but if I'm going somewhere local or a pub or restaurant I wouldn't take that as it's never ever been an issue previously. It's lucky I live local because if not I'd have had a screaming baby on the way home."
