Stuart Kettlewell says his side must brace themselves against a backlash
Stuart Kettlewell reckons St Mirren will be raging about their 5-2 defeat to Kilmarnock a fortnight ago – and his Motherwell side could be in the firing line.
Saints were 2-0 up and seemingly cruising at Rugby Park on March 16, only for Killie to come roaring back, scoring five goals in an 18-minute spell. He said: “I think that the 5-2 result becomes a wee bit false for St Mirren in their last outing, in comparison to where they’ve been all season, so we brace ourselves for the best version of St Mirren, and we know it’s going to be a difficult game.
“St Mirren won it 1-0, which was a disappointment for us, but when you look at the games at St Mirren Park as well, they’ve been incredibly close.Following this afternoon’s clash, Motherwell travel to Dundee and host Hibs in the last pre-split fixture on April 16.
