A motorcycle rider has died following a collision involving a truck along the Snowy Mountains Highway on Saturday.

Picture NCA Newswire/ Gaye Gerard.The driver of the truck has been taken to Cooma Hospital for mandatory testing by officers from the Monaro Police District.“Ongoing police investigations are expected to take some time,” an alert from Traffic NSW read.
It comes after another motorcyclist died after he hit a power pole in Sydney’s eastern suburbs on Thursday.Police have since issued an urgent plea for motorcyclists to take extra care on the state’s roads. “In a car, SUV, or truck you have layers of protection motorcyclists do not and – as a rider – you need to be hyper-aware of your choices of riding behaviour, as well as the actions of all other motorists in your vicinity,” he said in a statement.
