UPDATE: Motorcyclist dies after crash with digger in north Shropshire
West Mercia Police officers were called to the scene of the collision on the A528 between Cockshutt and Ellesmere at 11.50am on Wednesday.
The crash involved a digger and a motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers have closed a part of the A-road and drivers have been urged to find an alternative route. Diversions have been put in place. Jeremy Layton, communication officer for West Mercia Police said:"At around 11.50am this morning, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on the A528 between Cockshutt and Ellesmere."The rider of the motorcycle was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene – his next of kin have been informed.
