The 41-year-old male biker was tragically pronounced dead on the A6094 in Midlothian on Tuesday evening.
Emergency services raced to the single-vehicle collision on the A6094 between Rosewell and Howgate in Midlothian at 7.05pm on Tuesday, August 22.Officers investigating the crash say his family have been notified. The road remained closed for several hours to allow investigation work to take place.
Police say enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident remain ongoing. Anyone with information on the crash, particularly those with dash-cam footage, have been urged to come forward. Top news stories today Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: "We are in the process of establishing the full circumstances of this collision and I am appealing to other road users who were in the area at the time to contact us with any information they may have.
"If anyone has dash cam equipment, please check it as it could hold footage which could assist our investigation." Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3496 of August 22, 2023.
